About the Freestanding Nightstand in Maple
A variation on our floating nightstand, this free standing oversized table is handmade from solid Hard Maple with a wrap-around apron base. The drawers are built from solid Hard Maple with a solid Maple front to match the nightstand case. Each piece is built from solid hardwood boards joined with a 45 degree miter creating a beautiful wrap-around continuous grain across the top and sides. Drawers are hung on soft-close, under-mount Blum BluMotion brand premium slides.
Hand finished with VOC Free Pure Polymerized Linseed Oil for a natural color and a beautiful, durable satin sheen.
Since each item is made by hand with care, variations in color and grain should be expected from piece to piece.

The Krovel Furniture Co. woodshop was born from a desire to create simple, beautiful, and affordable furniture. We strive to select the finest materials and we mill, fabricate, and finish each piece in-house.
Hand-Selected, Hand-Finished
We hand-select the finest rough-sawn lumber (harvested and rough-milled in the U.S.) and we mill, construct, and hand-finish one piece at a time in our Maine shop–nothing is outsourced.

FAQs
I'm unsure about size, what do I do?
We always recommend that our clients make a simple mock-up in cardboard and tape in place to the wall. This will give you a very good idea of size and scale in your space.
Do you offer custom sizes?
Yes! We’re happy to build a size that works for you. Contact us with your dimensions and wood choice for a quote.
Can I choose to add my own drawer hardware?
Yes. When adding the item to your cart, you may choose to add our standard finger-hole or “no hole” for DIY hardware.
All measurements are exterior dimensions - what are the interior dimensions?
Finished wood thickness is 5/8” so the interior width and height is 1.25” less than exterior dimensions. The solid back with the integrated mounting cleat is 1/2” with a 3/4” cleat for a total interior depth of less 1.25”. for our Media and Storage cabinets with sliding doors, subtract another 3/4” for the doors, total is less 2” for back and doors combined. Theses floating nightstands are absolutely gorgeous. I ordered two double drawer nightstands in white oak. They are outstanding in quality and craftsmanship which is very important to me. I unfortunately have to wait for my husband to install the hardware I chose instead of the finger holes. At some point he will install the knobs and hang them for me. Fingers crossed it will be sooner than later lol!!

I ordered 2 floating nightstands for a build still in progress. I needed them delivered before I move to temporary housing and they arrived in plenty of time. They were meticulously packed so I didn’t want to disturb anything before placing them in storage. My questions before ordering and after receiving the shipment were promptly answered by email and/or phone by Tim, the owner. I can’t praise the customer service and shipping process highly enough. I have every expectation that the products will also be of excellent quality, making Krovel one of the best companies to deal with.
We were looking for a convenient and aesthetically pleasing means to gather items needed before walking out the door, such as keys, wallet, out going mail, etc. Two Floating Nightstands in White Oak suited are needs perfectly and fit perfectly into the limited wall space by the front door. They are practical, EXTREMELY well made, and very pleasing to the eye. Couldn’t be happier!
We searched around for two floating nightstands for quite a while. We found a bunch of small, cheap, minimal quality versions. Our usual quality furniture stores didn't really get what we were looking for - we thought floating nightstands were pretty mainstream, but we found out otherwise.
When we found Krovel we were very happy - a local company (we're in Massachusetts), what looked to be a superior quality product and a very reasonable price. From first contact the process was smooth and painless.
When our nightstands arrived we were very pleased with the packaging and the great quality of the products.

Could not be happier with the way they look and how they are crafted. You can see the quality from every angle. We ordered 16” wide nightstands, so they are on the small side but just what we needed for the wall space we had available. Is this age of American made, we should all be proud that “we “ make things of this quality. The whole process was easy and considering they were made to order, the wait time for delivery was very short. Not every great thing can be had overnight!
